Frequently Asked Questions?
Can I use my own graphics that I have created in Canva or AI?
We have used customer designed graphics in the past - however they must be supplied to us print ready.
If the file(s) are not print ready, then we will not be able to use them.
Will an image produced in AI be the same quality as if we commissioned Grafix Fast to design the project?
This will depend on how you set up the image and your AI software. We always advise designing the image to the printed size as this saves any quality being lost when upscaling to your required size.
Images designed at the wrong size will appear pixelated when upscaled and your project will not look like what it should when printed.
What software do you use and will it be compatible with what I need it for?
We use professional design software that can import and export in hundreds of different formats.
Predominantly, and assuming that you have paid for the digital artwork, files are sent in a high-resolution .PDF that you will be able to use on many applications or websites.
Do you supply the artwork digitally on completion?
Unless the project you have asked us to do requires a completed graphic (ie: you have asked us to design some graphics for social media, or a company logo) then the general print file will not be automatically sent to you. In many cases the final print ready file will contain marks that would mean you couldn't really use it for your own personal use.
If it is vital that you require a .PDF of the finished artwork, then this can be arranged for a small extra charge - in a format that you would be able to use.
How do you communicate with me?
In the ideal world we love to have a no-obligation meeting with you to determine the basics of your project and, if necessary, let you have a look at some samples of finished products that are very similar to yours. We will then go away and work on your project and send you updates, generally via WhatsApp (or email if this isn't possible). Once changes have been made and you are happy with the final design, we just need a message or email to sign off the design and then we will arrange the necessary printing.
There generally isn't a need for a further meeting, until the time comes when the printing has arrived and we need to hand it over to you - but if you feel that this would help the project then there is usually time to accommodate this.
